Open Juvenile Level

Age: majority under 18
Requirements: Intermediate Moves in the Field test by December 1st, 2009 and taking private lessons.
Minimally, 30 minutes of private lessons with an additional
1 hour of individual practice ice per week.
Skating Skill: Competitors in Open Juvenile must have passed at least the Intermediate MIF test,
should be testing and competing Freestyle and are encouraged to learn
ice dancing.
Expectations: Skaters on this team should feel comfortable executing skills through the
Novice MIF test, with strong clear edges, understanding of all 3 turns, mohawks and brackets along with correct posture. In addition they should demonstrate an increasing understanding of synchronized team free skating...block, circle,
line, wheel, intersection, spins and transitions.
Skaters selected for a team by the Program Director based on ability.
