OnThinIce.AdultOn Thin Ice (OTI) is a competitive theatrical skating troupe open to adult skaters of all abilities for 2015-2016 season. Please join us for the upcoming season. OTI is committed to providing a team atmosphere in which skaters with a variety of skills can work together on both skating and theatrical skills.

OTI has monthly dues which cover the cost of the ice, coach, scenery and entrance fees. The 2015-2016 season dues are due the first practice of each month, (September – June). OTI will be practicing on Monday evenings from about 7:15 to 8:15 at Leddy.

– OTI offers a 30% discount to full time college students (documentation may be requested)

– Fund-raising is critical! All OTI skaters are required to participate in fund-raising

OTI participates in both exhibitions and competitions. Potential events are listed below:

  • – Leddy’s Holiday Show – The Gift – December 19, 2015
  • – Theatre on Ice Festival – Hosted by VCTI – Leddy Park Arena – April 9, 2016
  • – North Shore Open – Burbank Ice Arena – June 5, 2016
  • – National TOI – Hosted by the Birmingham Figure Skating Club – Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena – June 29- July 3, 2016
  • Practical Information About OTI


    All OTI skaters must be members of US Figure Skating, full or associate members of Champlain Valley Skating Club (CVSC). The following are the minimum requirements for the 2015-2016 season: Skaters must have passed at least one US Figure Skating test (other than a basic skills badge). This may include and adult or standard MIF, individual dance test (passing the entire dance category is not required), freestyle or pairs. This test needs to be passed 60 days prior (approximately mid February 2016) to the first competition event deadline.
